  • We need to pay by check, do we still place the order online?

    No, please complete and submit the online order form. We will provide you with an estimate/quote prior to releasing to ship. Invoices will be sent within 1-2 weeks after your order have been received.

  • We need to pay by Purchase Order, do we still place the order online?

    Yes, please the online order form. We will provide you with an estimate/quote prior to releasing to ship. Our accounting department will provide you the invoice once the order has been shipped within 1-2 weeks after your order have been received.

  • Can I purchase as an individual/parent and not an agency?

    No, individuals may contact our local offices or FRC for a free copy.

  • How may I obtain a W-9 from your agency?

    Please email us, info@pottertheotter.com to request a W-9 from FIRST 5 Santa Clara County.

  • Are the storybooks available in other languages?

    All book are bilingual in English/Spanish. Potter Kindergarten is offered in trilingual English/Spanish/Vietnamese.

  • My books arrived damaged, can they be replaced?

    Email beverly.lee@first5kids.org to report the damages, please include a description of the damage and a photo when possible.

  • Are discounts available to schools, non-profits, government agencies, etc.?

    Our pricing is marked as low as possible in order to recoup production costs.

FIRST 5 Santa Clara County Potter the Otter Fulfillment Policy

  • Order Confirmation

    Once an order is placed for Potter the Otter™ products on our website, an email confirmation will be sent with the customer order number, a summary of the items, and shipping and pricing details. Please allow up to 24 hours for the order confirmation to be delivered. If you don’t receive an order confirmation, reach out to us at: info@pottertheotter.com. Include the contact details submitted during the ordering process. We will make every effort to respond within 2-3 business days.

  • Payment

    Payments made on the Potter the Otter™ website may be processed through third-party service providers. These third-party service providers may have specific payment policies that are subject to change. By placing an order, you authorize us and our third-party service providers to charge your selected payment method for the full amount presented to you in the checkout and purchase process.

    In addition, by placing an order, you agree that (a) you are responsible for the full price of the order, including all applicable taxes, fees, and charges; (b) the payment information (including any credit or debit card information) is accurate, correct, and complete; (c) you are authorized to use such payment method for the purchase; (d) charges incurred by you will be honored by your credit or debit card company; and (e) you will pay charges incurred by you at the prices posted on our website at the time of purchase, including all applicable taxes, fees, and charges. If we do not receive payment from your credit or debit card issuer or its agents, you agree to pay all amounts using an alternative payment method.

  • Product Availability

    When you place an order, you agree to buy Potter the Otter™ products listed on the website. Please note that all orders are subject to our acceptance, which occurs when we send you an order confirmation. Until you receive this confirmation, we are not obligated to fulfill any order. We make every effort to keep all Potter the Otter™ products offered on the website in stock. However, at times, we may be low on stock or out of stock on certain items. We do our best to let customers know when an item is unavailable, and we will notify you if there is a delay in your shipment due to product availability.

  • Returns/Refunds

    We offer refunds for products returned to FIRST 5 and received in our office within 30 days of the transaction date. To be eligible for a refund, a product must be returned unused and in the original condition. To request a refund, please email info@pottertheotter.com with your order number, the item(s) you wish to return, and the reason(s) for the return. You will receive instructions on the return process upon receipt of your return request. We will inspect returned items upon delivery to us, and issue the refund after confirming that the item has been returned in its original condition. If we determine that an item has not been returned in its original condition, we reserve the right to reject the return (in which case we will not issue a refund and you will be responsible for the cost of shipping the item back to you) or to offer a refund of less than the full purchase price.

    If you receive a damaged, defective, or incorrect item, contact us immediately at info@pottertheotter.com to resolve the issue. We may require proof of damage, including photographic evidence.

  • Cancellation

    Cancellation If you would like to cancel your order, please contact info@pottertheotter.com as soon as possible. An order cannot be cancelled after we have processed and/or shipped it. Most orders placed by 2pm Pacific Time will be processed and shipped the same day. If we cannot cancel your order, you must follow our return process to seek a refund.

  • Pricing and Fees

    All prices posted on the Potter the Otter™ website are subject to change without notice. Prices listed on the website at the time of transaction will be honored. Prices on the Potter the Otter™ website are shown in U.S. Dollars.

    Prices displayed for Potter the Otter™ products do not include taxes and shipping and handling charges. Applicable taxes and shipping and handling charges will be added to your merchandise total, stated during the check-out process, and stated in the order confirmation. Out-of-state and international orders may be subject to additional taxes, duties, fees, and/or other requirements.

  • Promotional Offers and Discounts

    Promotional offers or discounts may be offered on a time-limited basis. The customer agrees to be bound by any additional terms and conditions concerning special promotional offers or discounts. Some products may be excluded from promotional offers or discounts. Such exclusions may be noted on the Potter the Otter™ website.

  • Shipping

    Products ordered through the Potter the Otter™ website will be shipped to the destination specified in the order confirmation by a third-party delivery service provider. When available, a tracking number will be provided upon shipment of all or part of your order. Shipping and delivery dates and times are estimates only and cannot be guaranteed.

  • Acceptance of Shipped Products

    Any individual at the delivery address who accepts a delivery from the delivery service provider is presumed to be authorized to receive the delivery. If you have any special delivery request—for example, specifying delivery only on weekdays—please include the request when submitting the order.
